About Tifosi technology:

Lens Tints:
- Clear - Transparent lens. 95.6% VLT
- AC Red - The ideal "All Condition" lens for any weather. 41.4% VLT
- EC - "Extreme Contrast" lens for athletes seeking an edge in distinguishing terrain details. Light rose color. 39.1% VLT
- GT - "Golf and Tennis lens" enhances your ability to pick up a ball in flight by providing a balance of target and background brightness. 16.4% VLT
- Smoke - Ideal lens for every day use. Glare guard mirror for extra glare protection. 15.4% VLT
- Brown - Glare guard brown lens for sunny conditions. 17.1% VLT
Polarized lenses offer additional glare protection. Polarization film is embedded into the lens, so it will not scratch or wear off:
- Smoke Polarized - Polarized all sports activities and casual use lens. 12.1% VLT
Fototec lenses (photochromic) automatically adjust the lens according to lighting conditions:
- Light Night Fototec - A photocromic lens with the widest range of transition, color-neutral tint that won't distort colors. Best in low light to partly overcast weather. 76-28% VLT
*Visual Light Transmittance (VLT) indicates amount of light transmitted through the lens. The higher the percentage, the more light entered through the lens.

Polarized Smoke Lens
I originally purchased my glasses from an outdoor retailer with the Fototec lenses. I didn't realize at the time that they don't get overly dark. They're good for overcast days or dawn/dusk but I wasn't quite happy with them for sunny conditions. Then I ordered the polarized Smoke Lens from pro lens. It shipped fast and we'll packaged. Perfect fit to my "frames" (really just a couple arms for these glasses). Then lenses are perfect for sunny conditions. They're dark enough with the extra glare protection of the polarization. I use them for running and cycling. Very satisfied customer.

Tifosi Podium S Lens
Bought these in Feb. for do biking. Used them 4x's, laid them on the counter. Missed the counter and they landed on the floor in 2 pieces. Thus needed to replace. I'm otherwise happy with the glasses and the replacements come without a hitch.
